The Paper Hands Penalty

So basically paper hands is literally the worst disease you can have as a trader. It's when you buy something really good, like maybe you bought a tech stock really low, but then it drops a tiny bit and you literally freak out and sell everything because you're scared. And then obviously it goes up five thousand percent and you literally want to cry because you could have been rich but instead you have paper hands. Like tbh it's actually worse than losing money, because when you lose money you just made a bad trade, but when you paper hand you were actually right but you just didn't have the diamond hands to hold it.

I literally made this calculator to torture myself and my friends. Like bro, my friend sold his Nvidia stock in 2019 because he wanted to buy a used Honda Civic. If he just held it he could literally buy a house right now. So this tool calculates the exact penalty of having paper hands. You put in the price you sold at, and the price it is today, and it literally tells you exactly how much money you missed out on. It's basically a regret calculator ngl.

And like, the psychology behind paper handing is so dumb tbh. People get so emotional over like a five percent drop that they lock in a tiny profit or a small loss, and then they literally spend the rest of their lives checking the chart every single day to see what could have been. You literally become a ghost just haunting the chart of a coin you don't even own anymore. It's so sad.

How to calculate your regret

The math is literally just taking the current price, subtracting your weak paper-handed sell price, and multiplying it by how many shares you had. It shows you the exact dollar amount of your cowardice tbh.

Missed_Profit_Per_Share = Current_Moon_Price - Your_Weak_Sell_Price
Total_Pain = Missed_Profit_Per_Share * Shares_You_Fumbled
